NBE Lodges Police Complaint: The clouds looming over the NEET exams are not clearing. While the candidates were still grappling with the scam in the NEET UG exam, a ruckus seems to be brewing over the NEET PG exam as well. The NEET Post Graduate Examination was to be held today i.e. on 23 June but now this will not happen. The Health Ministry postponed the exam 11 hours before the exam. The reason behind this is being said that some mischievous elements were trying to tamper with the sanctity of the exam.

No case of NEET PG exam paper leak has been seen but some groups were active on social media and were misleading the candidates. These groups were talking about providing the NEET PG exam paper in advance to the candidates in exchange for money. In return, money was being demanded from the candidates.
Considering these complaints, NBE issued a notice and asked to be cautious of such temptations. The National Board of Examination also warned such social media groups and clearly told the students that strict action will be taken against them if they are found involved in any such activity.

NBE has filed a police complaint against social media groups who are trying to dupe candidates and extort money from them in the name of giving NEET PG papers. According to NBEMS officials, some social media groups are trying to trap NEET PG candidates.
These groups were talking about providing the question papers of the exam to be held on 23rd June i.e. today. They were providing the question paper of NEET PG. NBE has not only filed a complaint against such groups but has also warned the students that if they are found involved in such acts directly or indirectly, they will have to face the consequences.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has postponed the NEET PG exam 2024. New exam dates will be released soon. Candidates are requested to keep visiting the official website from time to time for the latest information.

Under Section 19 (1) (A) of the Constitution, all citizens have the freedom of expression, but this does not mean that they should take advantage of it to any extent. If your post or expression hurts the sentiments of any group or spreads violence, then to prevent this, Parliament enacted the IT Act in the year 2000.
Section 66(A) of the Information Technology Act 2000 provides for punishment for any wrongdoing done through social media.
It is stated that if someone posts or shares any objectionable post through electronic medium, action can be taken against him under section 67. For doing this for the first time, there can be a fine of Rs 5 lakh and 3 years imprisonment and for doing this for the second time, there can be a fine of Rs 10 lakh and 5 years imprisonment. IT Act 2008 was made to deal with cyber crime cases. Under this, along with a small punishment, there can be life imprisonment.
Recently, the paper leak law has also come into force, under which there can be a punishment of up to ten years and a fine of up to Rs 1 crore.
